I really like your app and it works wonderfully for just about all of my needs. However a couple issues arise in the foobar2000 remote. First due to having multiple sound devices plugged into my PC my default sound device is not where foobar plays it's sound so the volume controls do not work for me because they do not change the volume in the program and instead change the windows volume.
I opened the lua but have no idea what I would need to change things to to make it so those buttons change the volume of the program and not of my PC.
The other issue I have is along the same lines and I am wondering how I would make a random button for the foobar remote. I have one on my keyboard but it would be nice to be able to just go into the remote and use random.
If you'd like to change the volume buttons to control your PC volume instead of foobar you can do the following:
First of all, notice that the keyboard library is already imported on line 2 (so we don't have to do that again):
local keyboard = libs.keyboard;
Next, scroll down to the volume_down and volume_up actions. Replace these with the following:
--@help Lower volume actions.volume_down = function() keyboard.press("volumedown"); end --@help Raise volume actions.volume_up = function() keyboard.press("volumeup"); end
For more info about the keyboard functions, have a look here:
I'm not sure what you mean by "random". Do you mean playlist shuffle?
I think you got it backwards. As it is now the foobar remote changes the volume of my PC and not the volume within the program itself or I'm just reading it wrong, it's early and i'm not quite awake yet.
As for the random in foobar there is an option for "playback/random" and I have a button in foobar and the keyboard shortcut ctrl+F12 to use it.
Idk if that will help but that is the random I am talking about.
