Android Wear / Notification
I think this has been discussed one year ago, but not much has changed. It is inconvenient to have the Wear notification appear from time to time even if the app is not started on the phone and the phone notification widget is not active. This Wear notification should only be there if I manually start Unified Remote on my watch or if I manually start Unified Remote on the phone. Exiting the app on the phone should kill the notification on the watch too. There's no need for it to be running constantly.
Also, this notification approach is one of the worst ideas for a wear app. Let's say I use it to play/pause a movie. There's no "keep alive" and no ambient mode for Unified Remote, so every time I follow these steps: wake up the watch, scroll through notifications, find Unified Remote, scroll some more to the right until I find the play/pause button and then do the action. Really inconvenient.
My phone notification widget has 5 buttons, so each time I have to scroll on my watch through all of them. The watch screen could easily hold those five buttons together, and maybe even more. Use scrolling only to get to the mouse simulator (laggy, no right click???) or voice commands.
Ultimately, if you can't bother to make these small adjustments, at least add a switch in the phone app to disable Wear integration completely. I hate having to dismiss that notification all the time.
So - any plans to improve this feature in the near future?
