[Ubuntu] Characters badly sent to the server
Recently, I have updated my OS to the last version (Ubuntu 15.10). However, the following bug seems to be unsolved yet: When I send some text from the Android app to the server using "Send Text", the letters composing it are shuffled. The order changes for each sending. I give below some details about the software/devices used:
- Client: Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 4.7, model number 6039Y, android v5.0.2, unified remote full version 3.5.3 (35012)
- Server: Ubuntu 15.10, Linux 4.2.0-23-generic x86_64, unified remote v188.8.131.524 (39)
Hope that helps :-)
I have this exact problem and I am running ubuntu 16.04 . I have had the same problem for a very long time now and it is very frustrating. Both the send text and any Google Voice keyboard text entries seem to be messing up very badly. This is an example of something I might see if I send the word "test" server outputs "ttttttsssssss" . I have tried changing key repeat and delay settings in Linux and it does not fix the problem.
Since this thread does not seem to have any activity in the last 6 months since it was created and the developers have not responded I would have to assume that having a bug report area is just for show.
@NL good news! I've solved the problem! Because it's been 10 months since you first posted this issue and there has been absolutely no response. The solution is to download "home remote control" it runs from a jar on all platforms. I'm sorry it has to be this way but apparently Unified Remote just doesn't give a fuck anymore.
