WiFi connection problem

Having previously had UnifiedRemote running I was surprised yesterday to find the app could not connect to the server any more. I reinstalled the server and the app, disabled ZoneAlarm and still cannot connect to server. Error message is "Wifi connection problem. Retrying..."
Any hints on the best was to troubleshoot?
This forum is useless..
Try restart your router.
Pull out the voltage plug and wait for 30 then connect it again.
Restart the unified remote server and try to connect your device again. Worked for me.
