Disable Android Wear notification when 'Not' connected'
Christopher Bull 20
Love the app, but 99% of the time I am not connected. Which means my Android Wear watch almost always shows a notification saying that it is not connected - I know, I did not connect it.
It just gets in the way when scrolling through other useful notifications on the watch, and it is there far too frequently. I went on holiday, didn't open the Unified Remote app once, but dismissed the watch notification every day (multiple times a day, I think).
If this is somehow useful to people and therefore not feasible, then I'd at least appreciate a way to optionally disable that specific notification. Or ensure that the remote app is not running in the background despite explicitly exiting it.
I use the app mainly with a living room gaming PC, which never has a mouse or keyboard connected, but there are those rare occasions when it becomes necessary. Great app.

I used to get these on a daily basis, but they stopped about six months ago. But about a week ago, they started up again after I had to reset my watch (for an unrelated problem).
I'd welcome the ability to switch them off because, as OP says, they're really annoying ;-)
Hey @Christopher-Bull @Jim-Rushby,
Do you guys have some insights about the Android Wear app? There is a new thread that the developers created to discuss it, it would be great if you join the conversation:
