UNLOCK PC Project
This is a project to unlock your PC running Windows 10 via Unified Remote.
Open 'remote' file and replace "1234" for your current Windows's PIN or PASSWORD
local _password ="your password here"
local keyboard = require("keyboard"); local _password ="1234"; [email protected] Unlock actions.unlock = function () keyboard.press("return"); os.sleep(800); keyboard.text(_password); end
thanks to the nathan323 and Unified Remote Support for the help.
- Note: if you are experiencing troubles to unlock your W10 it may being cause by a problem with driver signature UNIFIED VIRTUAL HID. Check this page for more details: http://community.unifiedremote.com/topic/585/windows-10-version-1607-input-driver-signature*
Hi, can someone answer please to the next 3 questions?
Is this working only for the Pro version? If yes, is there any way to do it in the free version?
Is this working if the phone is connected with the PC only through Bluetooth? If no, is there any way to do this only by Bluetooth?
Where should the files from the archive been pasted and executed? On the phone or on the PC? The exact path please, and what else should be done after the files are copied please...
I don't believe this can be done for the free version because the free version (I believe) does not allow you to install your own remotes. That is I think reserved for the paying guests.......
If you have the paid version you would make a folder under "remotes" (look inside "remotes" in the "Unified Remote" folder on your PC and you will see all the standard ones in other folders).
Call it for example "unlock". In that folder you will need 4 files..... as in the other folders.......
icon.png (the picture for your remote)
meta.prop (what the remote is called and who owns it)
layout.xml (how it will appear on the screen... the buttons, colours, text etc.)
remote.lua (the code that was posted above)
If you follow the download link above you will find those 4 necessary files already made for you.
Use the free portable program 7-zip to open the .rar file if you don't have any other means to do so.
The remotes should work over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth (if you can get the Bluetooth to connect reliably to your phone......check that first!!), or even the internet if you allow access through your router. I wouldn't recommend web access without encryption though.
I hope that helps.......
I doubt that you could use the fingerprint scanner. I don't know how you could tell the scanner app to receive a file rather than read the scanner. There is always the normal password option that it will fall back to anyway. You might need to send "esc" first before the text of the password...... I don't have a scanner so I am not certain of the procedure.....

so the link is dead.
any chance we could get a new one?
I've tried to build out the necessary files based on the script, but it doesnt seem to be working. Any ideas on how to get this working?
@Joseph-Hubbard I have (I hope) made you a copy........ although I don't have the original..
Download the file below.
change the .jpg extension to .zip and then unzip it..
Put your own password in the "remote.lua" file in place of 1234 and keeping the quotes......
Make a new icon file if you wish.....
You might need a second "keyboard press" line at the bottom of the remote lua file like this.....
local keyboard = require("keyboard"); local _password ="1234"; [email protected] Unlock actions.unlock = function () keyboard.press("return"); os.sleep(800); keyboard.text(_password); keyboard.press("return"); end
But I am not sure about that...... I am not using widows10......
