Basic Remote Breaks on Dialog Boxes
In Windows 10, when using the basic remote, input works fine until a dialog box pops up. After the popup occurs, clicking/typing is completely disabled from the app. I have to switch back to using a normal mouse to dismiss the dialog box. Once dismissed, the basic remote immediately starts working again.
The type and source of the dialog box seems to be irrelevant. For example, I'm starting qBittorrent and it prompts me to upgrade to the latest version. I can move the mouse cursor over the dialog box from the Basic Remote, but I am unable to click on it or do anything to dismiss it.
I got the same now with Windows 10 Creators Update.
Whenever I get the box to enter a pin a password to install a program using admin rights, the basic remote (mouse & keyboard control) are disabled. When the box is gone again, remote control works again.
Quite annoying as I often have to update programs on this remote control box and with the Creators Update, this doesn't work anymore.
Does anyone know if this is a new safety precaution introduced by MS in the latest Win 10 Update?
My problem is similar to this, the basic input remote doesn't work if task manager or TeamViewer have focus. if it use the"start"remote to launch another program like notepad, it works again, but i can't interact with the task manager or TeamViewer windows. this has been happening for months. i am running Windows 10.
