I did some testing myself, since I'm planning to use unified remote with eventghost.

os.execute creates a cmd window, which is probably not the best use.
libs.script.batch I think is the best option for Win. I don't know if it's true, but to me it seems like it runs just a tad faster than libs.script.shell, or am I wrong?

I think it would be cool to be able to change the color/icon from Tasker for an individual button of a widget.

Use: I want to make a bunch of toggle buttons for the Hue lights around my home. So I would like to be able to change the color of individual buttons based on tasker variables, for example to make the button blue when %Power = on and green when %Power = off

Right now I have this functionality with tasker widget icons, but I think it would look way better with UR widgets (see for example smarttiles.click)

Small bug, not a big issue.
In a remote with multiple tabs, if I switch the screen off and on, the tab changes automatically to the first on the left, it doesn't stay put :) Tried on 2 different android devices

I encountered a bug and I think this is the way to replicate it to get "Failed to load widget".

I have 2 UR servers on 2 different computers. On my phone (S4, Android 4.3) I have a widget. After I change the server, the widget in the app becomes red and says "Failed to load". Also the quick actions notification re-enables by itself, even though I disabled it.

Luckily I made a backup of the widget so I didn't lose it :)

I think that would be a huge improvement because then you would add the power of Tasker (and not only) to UR.
So if I have a UR remote, it would not be able to only control the PC, but lots of other stuff as well, like Philips Hue for example.

Right now it's only the power of UR added to Tasker :P

That's what I thought, but it calls

    ur://intent/device:Message

which doesn't do anything or doesn't work.

    Shouldn't it call

    ur://intent/device:Toast

    ?

That describes how to call UR functions from Tasker. I'm asking for the opposite, to call Tasker tasks from UR.

As in, when I press a button in a UR remote, a tasker task to be executed. Other apps have this facility, like minimalistic text, uccw, zooper.

What is the purpose of Device Action / Message? It doesn't seem to be doing anything and I didn't find anything about it in the docs
