Wake on lan doesn't work after Shutdown
I'm facing a strange problem. I happily use Unified Remote to control my Kodi HTPC, but when I shut my computer down through the Android app, I'm not able to wake it up on lan. However, if I shut it down through Windows, Kodi or Kodi app, everything works perfectly.
Like Unified Remote app shuts down my computer "harder" than other methods.
The problem is frustrating as I often use Unified Remote app to shut it down so I don't have to turn on my TV. When I'm not home, I use an always-online Raspberry Pi with a webserver to turn my HTPC on again, which I'm not able to do to the above situation.
Does some one know a work-a-round?
For me it's the opposite. When I shut down with the app or the windows method, it works. If I shut down with the power button, it won't work.
how do you get wake on lan to work? I've configured everything correctly and I know that wake on lan is working ( i was able to use other software to wake it up)
If i put the pc to sleep, how do I wake it?
In my case it didn't work at the beginning, because my MAC-address was not correctly set in the app.
I could solve the problem with the following tutorial (last step):
