Android cannot successfully login from outside home
I installed unified remote server on Windows 10 pro.
Inserted username and password, and double triple quadruple checked these values
Enabled unified remote app in Windows firewall as from tutorial.
Status is saying
- autodiscovery is listening
- lan detected, and IP is right 192.168.1.10
- wan detected, and IP is right
- firewall access is allowed
Enabled port forwarding on router
- 9512 tcp and udp is forwarded to 192.168.1.10
- 9510 tcp is forwarded to 192.168.1.10
I have another service running on my pc, different port obviously, and it works. So Ip is right.
Problem: from external network I cannot access the web manager (just temporary, while do initial settings, then I will remove port forwarding at all) because accessing at ip:9510 I got a page saying
Not Found (404)
This means server is reachable, because I change port Chrome give a unable to connect.
But the most important problem is that when I add the server to my Android client I persistently get Authentication failed.
This means server is reachable.
Also, logs tell me Authentication failed.
I am using different password for every user, and I rechecked I inserted right info both on server settings and into Android client settings.
What else can I try?
I tried web client from the same pc and it refused to connect saying that this client do not support encryption
I disabled encryption and local client connection works. That is not good..
Also, remote connection from Android now works.
I am sure I am doing something wrong. It is not possible that local client, using Chrome, cannot connect to remote server....
