Widgets don't respond until you open the app
I have Android 8.0 Galaxy S7 Edge device and no one widget works until I manually open the main application. I think it's because of Android 8.0 power consumption optimizations. But it's the only feature why I've bought a full version.
Client: 3.12.0 (full)
Server: 22.214.171.1243 (windows)
I have the same problem, right after my last update. Android LG v20.
Edit addendum: As long as my phone stays awake it works, but have to do this on every wake up.
i have the same issue i postet also few weeks ago but on this forum there is no support. also they dont answear on my mails. if you found a solution tell me. till than i will use the 3.11 version.
Unfortunately, same issue here with Honor 8 since updated to Android 8.0. Disabling optimized settings regarding power consumption for Unified Remote does not change this behaviour.
It looks like its a huawei problem. Becouse everyone who has this problem is a huawei user.
Same issue here on a Oneplus phone with Android 8.1 and up-to-date Unified Remote client and server.
Only when I open the app first the widget starts working. I am then also getting Android notifications that Unified Remote is using the battery. This started happening awhile ago. I update Android a lot so fufnf may be onto something about it being an issue with recent Android power optimizations.
Is this issue being looked into? It's pretty annoying as I use the widget a lot.
The support sucks. No answers I shouldn't buy the full version. You can find 3.11 on the internet cracked. But u should be careful to not update it.
I had this issue for ages too but seem to have gotten past it. Not sure what exactly helped but I tried clearing the cache ( in 'status' in the menu), that broke my widget so I deleted it and made a new one (from scratch) and seems to be working even with the app closed now. I've also disabled battery optimisation for the app and restarted the phone during this process. At some point my 'basic input' remote changed during this too, added buttons and slider bars I didn't have before.
Android 8.1.0 on a Nokia 8 (Pure android)
App version 3.12.0
Same Here on an OnePlus 6 with Android 9.0
Samsung S8, Android 8.0.0
App Version: 3.12.0
Same. Clearing the cache didn't help.
Galaxy Note 9 // Android 8.1.0 // App 3.12.0
