Use in Win 10 using iMac and Parallels emulation software
I have installed UR on my iPhone and on the Mac side and Windows sides of my iMac which uses Parallels 11 software to run Windows 10.
I would like to be able to be able to put keyboard input and iOS dication from my iPhone into Windows Apps such as Office and a more specialist translation software tool called MemoQ.
- Use trackpad features, type on keyboard and dictate successfully from iPhone and UR to Mac Office and e.g. in Safari.
- I can use the trackpad basic input trackpad touch features inside WIndows programs.
- Any attempts to use keyboard e.g h e l l o results in "aaaaa".
- Any attempt at dictation results in "aaaaa".
I have tried doing this using UR server switched on, on the Mac side (Parallels is supposed to allow you to pass features from Mac OS to Windows software e.g. I can use the Mac OS Dictation inside Windows programs, which is nice), just the PC UR server activiated (nope) and both the Mac and PC activated (also no).
Any help much appreciated.
PS I have used TeamViewer to do this, but I find it very messy on a smartphone, hard to navigate and UR's full keyboard command input is very clean and neat.
Final part...... I use voice recognition software on my PC and it is fine. I do not need a remote device. However, I am helping a Portuguese student with cerebral palsy and the best Portuguese speech recognition comes from phone aps, either the iphone iOS or, even better, Dragon Dictation. I am trying to get that speech into the iPhone into Windows software in an emulated environment, In principle I could do that with the iOS dictation.
The ideal would be to have UR working with Nuance's Dragon Dictation going directly into Windows software running under Parallel's 11 emulation. That would make my student unbelievably happy! David
