Trigger Autohotkey Scripts with Unified Remote
There is another topic concerning connecting Autohotkey with Unified remote ( http://community.unifiedremote.com/topic/285/how-to-run-autohotkey-scipt-via-remote-action ), but as far as I understand, that thread is of no help to solve my problem.
What I'm looking for:
Text typed from my android device via universal remote doesn't trigger my Autohotkey Scripts. This applies both if I type on my google keyboard on my android device, or if i use the speech input on my android device. For example, i might have programmed an "a" to come up as a swedish "å", but the conversion doesn't trigger if I use universal keyboard, lioke it would for my usb keyboard. is there some way to do this?
I would like to use the Google speech to text available on google keyboard on android. I can successfully use this with unified remote to type complete texts on my computer aswell, however, the capabilities are limited, but I feel with access to the powers of autohotkey I could make wonders happen. I could use autohotkey to make sure my mothers name gets spelled correctly, I could script the phrase "Alt tab please" to actually switch windows instead of typing out the words alt tab. Just a large amount of customizability without having to learn much new stuff.
I managed to get some assistance over at Autohotkey's community. It seems to have more to do with their end and possibly also the android keyboard of choice. The difficulties seem to be that using Unified remote this way sends the keystrokes as unicode characters, rather than regular keystrokes, as a usb keyboard would. a very small subset of the available android keyboasrd keys, such as backspace and return, are not sent as unicode characters, and will work to trigger the script.
