[Solved] URI string not working with Trigger (popular NFC app)
I am trying to make an NFC tag run the URI string "ur://intent/remote:Unified.Monitor/action:standby/destination:ROB-PC" created in Unified Remote's native Monitor remote.
I realize I could use Unified Remote's built in NFC programming, but Trigger is better because tags can be programmed to do more, as well as having a different function for a second tap. I also have Tasker, but I would never be able to even attempt this because it is too complicated for me compared to Trigger.
Trigger can be downloaded here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jwsoft.nfcactionlauncher&hl=en
URI String tutorial followed: https://www.unifiedremote.com/tutorials/how-to-create-a-uri-string
Device Android, 3.4.0 Server Windows, 220.127.116.113
Thanks for any assistance.
After a quick test it seems like it doesn't work if you select "open in background". Try unchecking that if you have that selected. Otherwise, try removing /destination:ROB-PC and see if that helps. Let me know how it goes.
I have tried with and without "open in background" as well as removing the destination.
I have also tried adding within Trigger:
Open Activity > Unified Remote > com.unified.v3.frontend.views.NFCActivity
Open Activity > Unified Remote > com.unified.v3.frontend.views.URIActivity
(Note: I have no idea what these actually do, but figured it was worth a try.)
Unfortunately neither of those additional actions made the URI work.
Whoops, the command I was looking for was "Turn Off", not "Standby"
Sorry for wasting your time.
