Mouse jittery, app slow to respond since I paid for pro version. Server conflicting with something?

I wish I'd never paid for it now, because it was working fine before. The whole Unified Remote system seems sluggish, like it doesn't have enough resources or something. You move your finger on your phone to move the mouse, and it's very jittery and sluggish -- it lags and then catches up. Hitting mute takes a second or two to have an effect, etc.
I have a lot of memory and resources on the computer, and not much open. So it's not a lack of resources. I'm on Windows 7, and using an Android phone for the remote.
What can make it run smoother?
