Why does it keep searching for servers after connecting with one?

In the Server section, it lists the connection it has already made, then says "Searching for servers..." Isn't that a waste of resources? Why does it need to keep searching?
I'm only concerned because, as I detail in another post, my Android-Windows/desktop connection seems like it's always lagging, like the server or app is lacking resources. Using the mouse is particularly frustrating when it's like that.
I would suggest that you look for (as it works usually, and has worked for you at a point in the past)...
App running twice? (unlikely).
Server running twice? (check task manager...... could be started at boot and then again from some start-up options)
Firewall block (unlikely.... but make sure the server has been added to the "private" list).
Try rebooting your router.

In the Firewall, it's added to 'All', not just Private. Should I change it to just Private? I checked the rest of your suggestions, they are all okay. I'll try rebooting the router.
Meanwhile, is it normal for it to say it's always "Searching for servers" even though it's already connected?
Yes it is normal that it says "searching for servers" even when it is connected. Your other (lagging) problems are not normal though.
"All" in the firewall is ok, but allows a connection to the server from outside your local network....... so a small security risk.
Does the "status" of the connection look good on the app?
Does the server log show any errors?
Is your network connected to the internet? The app needs to connect to Google every now and then to check the licence, and if it cannot connect that can cause problems connecting the app to the server........ (if you have a stand-alone network for example).
