Launching controlled app (Windows) on remote open
Bucky Kid 00
Hi, I have checked several sample remotes how they ensure controlled app is running when they start.
Making action.launch applet doesn't to work:
<layout onlaunch="launch" ... >
actions.launch = function()
I need also to query if the controlled app is running and start only if it doesn't.
Thanks for suggestions.
I've never looked into that functionality, checking it now, it doesn't work for me.
As for check exists:
[email protected] Focus VLC application actions.switch = function () if OS_WINDOWS then local hwnd = win.window("vlc.exe"); if (hwnd == 0) then actions.launch(); end win.switchtowait("vlc.exe"); end end
To be clear, this means there is no way to currently launch an app the moment you open the remote?
I think not.
I just tried to get it to work, tried messing with code several remotes. It seems the
OnLaunchcommand is not being fired by opening of remote?
Occurs when the "launch" button is pressed in a remote.
I haven't heard of the launch button, but it should be firing on remote open anyway..
Damn, that's too bad. The launch button is, I have now realized, one that is on the bar at the bottom, with a 'play' icon. The foobar2000 controller has it, and it opens foobar2000. There's probably no feature that does this yet.
