I answer to my question on the latest post: You have to define ProgDVB Settings - Options - Controls - Remote Control module: HID -compliant consumer control device (select from the list). Restart ProgDVB and your Unified Remote should work and also your shift, ctrl and alt should work as expected.
Today on 4th Dec keys are working as expected! The only change I have made is to uninstall and reload/install a product ProgDVB x64 Professional on 11th Nov which is perhaps installing also some drivers for remote keyboard. Unified Remote server is running but Unified Remote client doesn't work. That is why I suspect some kind of conflict between these two systems. It looks also that Windows remote control works with ProgDVB software as they have specified but the functionality much less than in Unified Remote. How to solve this conflict by using both systems?
The results are same on laptop, usb and display keyboards. Some examples of odd behavior are:
- shift + any letter = lower case on the first hit and upper case on next hits: uUUUUUU
- above is true when keyboard settings have first item selected of sticky keys, othervise no upper case characters are produced
- alt alone works as expected but e.g. alt + tab works at first hit as alt alone and next times as expected i.e. switch between open windows
- ctrl works as above two (alone ok but combinations not) and all other keys as expected
I have stopped and uninstalled Unified Remote server but not deleted folders and firewall settings. Odd behavior still continues. Has Unified server somehow modified keyboard drivers of win 10?
